GenPix AI · HEIC to PNG converter
HEIC to PNG converter
Drop your HEIC photos below to get lossless PNG files. Nothing is uploaded — the conversion happens in your browser — and it is free, without an account or a watermark. Choose PNG when you are going to edit, crop or retouch the picture; choose JPG when you only need to send or upload it.
Converted on this device. Nothing is uploaded unless you press “Edit in GenPix”.
When PNG is the right choice
PNG saves every pixel exactly as decoded, with no further compression loss. That matters when a picture will be edited several times — each JPG save loses a little, each PNG save loses nothing.
It is also the format design tools, slide decks and printing services prefer for graphics, screenshots and pictures with text. For a plain photo you only want to share, JPG is the better choice: a PNG of the same photo is several times heavier.

Nothing leaves your device
The converter runs inside the page. Your photos are not uploaded to GenPix or to anyone else, which is why there is no limit on file count or size other than your device’s memory.
The PNG does not carry over the original’s GPS location or camera details.
Questions
- Is HEIC to PNG lossless?
- Yes, from the decoded photo onward. The HEIC itself was compressed by the phone when it was taken; the PNG keeps exactly what that HEIC contains, without adding any new loss.
- Why is my PNG so much bigger than the HEIC?
- HEIC is one of the most compact photo formats; PNG is lossless and does not compress photos well. A PNG of a phone photo is commonly ten times the size of its HEIC. Use JPG if size matters.
- Is it free and private?
- Yes. No account, no watermark, no upload: the conversion runs on your own device.
- Can I convert a whole album?
- Yes. Drop all the files at once and download the result as a single .zip.
